Romantico H.H.F.
The
'Ambassador' of the Spanish-Norman breed is Romantico
H.H.F., a 16.1 hand, 1992 stallion, bred and owned by Linda
and Allan Hamid of Hamid Hill Farm , Ltd., Woodbury,
Connecticut.
Sired by the legendary Andalusian Embajador IX, imported
from Spain, Romantico H.H.F. is famous as an exhibition and
competition horse. Romantico H.H.F. presented
spectacular exhibitions at Equine Affaire, the Greenwich
Polo Club and numerous charity events. The performances by Romantico
and his knight, both in shining armor, transported
spectators back in time to the battlefields of Europe and
the days of chivalry and pageantry.
A
versatile sporthorse, Romantico H.H.F. represented the breed
in freestyle reining. He and his trainer Garry
McAllister competed at the 1999 All American Quarter Horse
Congress in Columbus, Ohio, and won a fourth place medal in
Open Freestyle Reining.
 Romantico
H.H.F. is the sole American-bred horse of Spanish descent to
have ever won a United States Equestrian Team ribbon. At
the June 2000, 'Festival of Champions' at the U.S.E.T.
Olympic Training Center
in Gladstone, New Jersey, Romantico won sixth place in the
Invitational Freestyle Reining.
 Romantico
H.H.F. exemplifies the breed's keen aptitude for learning, a
strong work ethic, tractability, exceptional stamina and
enthusiasm for performance. The majestic stallion is a
symbol of strength and grandeur and projects an image of
trust and integrity.
 Breyer
honored the Spanish-Norman breed 'Ambassador' by producing a
special-edition, collector's horse model in fine porcelain
of Romantico H.H.F. in his signature armor. Romantico
was invited to be a celebrity guest performer at BreyerFest
, July 2005, at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington,
Kentucky.
 Audiences
were awed by the exciting daily exhibitions and impressed by
the presence and gentle nature of the stallion during long
photo sessions with fans. His kindness, generosity of spirit
and almost mystical aura added to his charisma.
Romantico
has been featured in numerous publications in the U.S.,
Canada, Spain, Germany, England and Poland.
